  DNA具有高度免疫原性。微生物DNA是宿主先天免疫系统检测到的关键病原相关分子模式。同样地,宿主dnacan也会引发有效的先天免疫反应,一方面支持抗肿瘤免疫,另一方面也会引发有害的炎症或自身免疫反应。我们的研究旨在在分子水平上描述先天性DNA传感机制的调节机制,最终目的是为炎症性疾病的治疗干预制定新的策略。

  The Laboratory of Innate Immunology headed by Andrea Ablasser at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) invites application for a Postdoc Position on

  “Intracellular innate immunity

  DNA is highly immunogenic. Microbial DNA serves as a key pathogen-associated molecular pattern detected by the host innate immune system. Likewise, host DNAcan also trigger potent innate immune response that one the one hand supports antitumor immunity, but on the other hand also fuels deleterious inflammatory or autoimmune reactions. Our research aims to describe at the molecular level the mechanisms underlying the regulation of innate DNA sensing mechanisms with the ultimate goal to define new strategies for therapeutic interventions into inflammatory diseases.

  Applicants for the Postdoc position should hold a Ph.D. in life sciences with a background in biological sciences, (bio)chemistry or a related discipline and should have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. We are looking for talented, creative and enthusiastic candidates passionate for science and research.

  Our laboratory is a highly collaborative environment that values rigorous research. It is located at the main campus of EPFL, one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology, on the shores of Lake Geneva and at the foot of the Alps.
